Removing the Cover
To insert an add-in board, add memory, or replace the lithium battery,
you need to open your Sony PC. You must remove the panels in a specific
order: the left side panel, the rear panel, and the I/O bracket.
^ When replacing the lithium battery, you must perform some initial steps before removing
the cover. See "Replacing the Lithium Battery” on page 129 for details.
To remove the left side panel
1 Push the rear latch to release the left side panel.
2 Slide the panel back until it stops.
3 Pull the panel straight out to remove it.
