Using Computer Monitors and Projectors

You can connect an external display (such as a computer monitor or a projector)

to your computer, port replicator, or docking station.

Connecting a computer monitor

You can display the images on your computer’s LCD screen onto an external

computer monitor. The external monitor displays the operations you perform on

your computer.

To connect a computer monitor

1 Make sure the computer monitor is plugged into an AC outlet.

2 Turn off the computer.

3 Plug the display cable into the Monitor (VGA) port on the computer.

4 Turn on the computer monitor (if it is not already on), and then turn on the

computer.

5 Press the Fn+F7 key combination to toggle the display between your

computer and the monitor. See “Selecting a Display Mode” for more

information.
