Selecting the listening
position (POS)
You can enjoy the optional sound surroundings
by selecting a desired position.
The unit has 5 listening positions available.
You can feel as if you are in the centre of the
sound field no matter where you sit in the car.
Indications and effective positions of POS mode
1 During playback or radio reception,
press (SOUND) repeatedly until “POS”
appears.
2 Press < or , to select a desired
listening position.
off y All y Front y Front-R y
Front-L y Rear y off
The listening positions appear in the order
shown above.
After 3 seconds, the display returns to the
normal playback mode.
To cancel the POS mode, select “off.”
Adjusting the front and rear
volume
1 During playback or radio reception,
press (SOUND) repeatedly to select
“F” (front) or “R” (rear).
2 Press < or , repeatedly to adjust
the volume of the front/rear speakers.
After 3 seconds, the display returns to the
normal playback mode.
Tip
The volume level is adjustable from –12 dB to +12 dB.
(Below –12 dB, “– ∞ dB” is displayed.)
Adjusting the cut-off frequency for the
front/rear speakers
To match the characteristics of the installed
speaker system, you can select the cut-off
frequency of the speakers.
1 During playback or radio reception,
press (MENU).
2 Press M or m repeatedly to select
“Front HPF” or “Rear HPF,” then press
(ENTER).
3 Press < or , to select the cut-off
frequency.
Each time you press < or ,, the frequency
changes as follows:
off (default setting) y 78Hz y 99Hz y
125Hz y 157Hz y 198Hz
